Trust your gut.

The statement “too good to be true” is a good adage to stick by when considering contractors. By trusting your gut, generally you can avoid the stress of having to deal with a contractor who could potentially make costly mistakes. The use of these ‘fly-by-night’ operations typically leads to having to hire someone else to finish the job or worse: to completely re-do the entire project. If your gut is telling you something’s not right — choose someone else.
