Trust your gut.
“If somebody’s offer appears to be too good to be true then it probably is. It’s impossible to get quality work done at an unrealistic speed all while keeping the price below every competitor.”
The statement “too good to be true” is a good adage to stick by when considering contractors. By trusting your gut, generally you can avoid the stress of having to deal with a contractor who could potentially make costly mistakes. The use of these ‘fly-by-night’ operations typically leads to having to hire someone else to finish the job or worse: to completely re-do the entire project. If your gut is telling you something’s not right — choose someone else.
